"Staged" picked up by Warner Music Group

Last year, Amy could be seen performing Ma$terpiece Theatre at various venues in Los Angeles.  Ma$terpiece, written and created by Steve Szlaga and Josh Covitt, was a staged "play" of different dramatic scenes and styles.  The catch is, all the scenes were made up of lyrics from famous pop songs of today.  There was a Tennessee Williams-style scene using Ke$ha lyrics, and a 1960s love affair scene using Justin Bieber lyrics.  You can imagine how hilarious a sexy, breathy "Put your tooth under your pillow case" would be.

The original cast was Amy Vorpahl, Brandon Olive, Blake Walker, Josh Covitt, and Johanna Parker. Due to the success of the play, Koda Pictures production company (Brandon Olive, Harry Frishberg and Max Frishberg) shot a scene from this play, and shopped it around to studios. This year, Warner Music Group picked it up as a web series with the new name "Staged," including all the original cast (plus special guests) and will begin to air episodes this spring!
